ADMISSION INTO MBBS / BDS COURSES FOR THE YEAR 2009-10

The Rank holders of EAMCET-2009 are directed to attend the counseling for admission into MBBS / BDS Courses for the year 2009-10 at the following centers as per the schedule given below. The Candidates need not submit any application form for admission into MBBS/BDS courses as per G.O.Ms.No. 140 & 141 HM & FW (E1) Department dated 04-07-2009.

Counselling is scheduled in three phases .

Phase I starts from: 20-Jul-09 till 22-Jul-09 (Open Competition seats in Government Colleges and in Private Colleges)

Phase II & Phase III starts from:23-Jul-09 till 25-Jul-09(Re-allotment of college to the reserved category candidates i.e., BCs, SCs and STs selected under OC and seats reserved for BCs, SCs, and STs)

Eligibility for admission into MBBS/BDS courses:

1]The candidate should be an Indian National.

2] The candidate should satisfy the Local or Non-Local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement) as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order, 1974 are directed to attend the counseling.

3] The candidate should have qualified in EAMCET-2009. The OC candidates should secure not less than 50%. BC/SC/ST candidates should secure not less than 40% in EAMCET-2009.

4 ]The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10 + 2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English. The OC candidate should have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, where as candidates belonging to BC/SC/ST Categories should have obtained not less than 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

5 ]The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31-12-2009.

6 ] The candidates who wish to claim seats under Anglo Indian, Sports & Games, CAP (Army), NCC, Physically Challenged (PH) candidates (Special Categories) also need to fulfill the above eligibility criteria indicated in 1 to 5.

Counseling Centers:

Hyderabad:
PGRR center for Distance Education, Osmania University campus.

Visakhapatnam:
Opp. School of Distance Education, Andhra University campus.

Vijayawada:
Administrative Building. Dr NTR University of Health Sciences.

Tirupathi: Old MBA building, S.V University.

The eligible candidates are advised to attend for counseling at any one of the counseling center of their choice.

1. The selected candidates shall pay the fee in the form on Demand Drafts drawn (not earlier than this date of notification) in any nationalized Bank in favour of “Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences payable at Vijayawada”.

2. If the candidate fails to pay the fee after choosing the seat, the seat will be cancelled automatically without any notice. The candidates will not be given any extension of time to pay the fee.

3. The University Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Counseling Fee (non- refundable): All the candidate who attend counseling have to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- for OC/BC and Rs.100/- for SC/ST as counseling fee at the reception counter of the counseling center irrespective of their selection /admission. The counseling fee receipt can be produced in subsequent counselings for entry into the counseling center.

Certificates to be produced at the time of counseling:

The candidates are directed to bring all the original certificate

s (mentioned below) and two sets of attested Xerox copies.

(1). EAMCET -2009 Rank Card and Hall Ticket.
(2). S.S.C or equivalent examination showing the Date of Birth.
(3) Memorandum of marks of qualifying examination Intermediate or Equivalent Examination. (4) Transfer certificate.
(5) Study certificates from 6th Class to Intermediate.
(6)Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside of Andhra Pradesh have to submit 10 years (years of period to be specified) residence certificate of the candidate or either of the parent issued by MRO.
(7) Candidates claming eligibility of reservation under Special categories should furnish the required certificate in support their claim.
(8) Caste Certificate (Integrated Community Certificate) who belongs to BC/SC/ST Category candidates issued by an Officer prescribed. (a) Scholarship certificate (b) Income Certificate of Parent issued by M.R.O on after 01.01.2009 (c) Service records & SSC/ SSLC certificate of parent/ relative if parent is not in-service.
(9) The candidates claiming fee exemption shall produce the Service certificate issued by the competent authority, Income certificate of the Parent.

(10) Any other relevant certificates.

NOTE:

1. The details of seats available in various colleges (both Govt. and Private) will be displayed on 19-07-2009 at all the counseling centers and on the University Website (One day before the counseling).

2. Fee exemption is allowed for BC/SC/ST /PH categories if the parental income is less than Rs. 1,00,000/- Per Annum.

3. No fee exemption is allowed for candidates selected under private ‘B’ category seats for BC/ PH Categories.

4.The candidates who are not present physically in person will be treated as absent in all aspects.

5.For filling up of 85% Local and 15% Un Reserved seats the procedure prescribed in G.O.(P) No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and as per amendment in G.O.Ms. No. 42, Higher Education Dept., dated 18.05.2009 will be followed.

6.Only one Parent or Guardian is allowed along with candidate for the counseling.
