  • Last date for Submission of Fresh Scholarship Applications is 20th October' 2009.
  • Fresh Students should take Printout of Application for submission in College along with relevant certificates.
  • Students of AP SSC Board and other boards whose SSC details are not available,they can Enter their SSC Details through ' SSC Data Entry ' Screen, which is available in ' Student Services '.
  • Student can also submit their applications(upload) during night time to avoid the network traffic and facilitate easy submission

Good news for the students who are awaiting the Indian Oil Scholarships for this year 2009.There are totally 450 Scholarships announced for the students of 10+/ITI, Engineering, MBBS & MBA Courses .

Of the 450 Scholarships, 250 are for the 10+/ITI students and the remaining 200 are for the students pursuing 1st year of Engineering, MBBS and MBA courses on zonal merit basis.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students pursuing full time courses in these streams & studying in Schools/Colleges/Institutions/Universities recognized by MCI/AICTE/State Education Boards/ State Govt. / ICSC/CBSE/Central Govt./Association of Indian universities, shall be eligible to apply. The student should have bonafide admission in the 1st year of School/College/Institute/University in the academic year 2009-2010. Students of two year full time post graduate courses in Business Administration/Management recognized by Central/State Govt./Association of Indian universities and which are equivalent to MBA, are eligible for management stream scholarship. Students having confirmed admission in the first year of full time engineering degree course, MBBS, MBA and also 11th standard as well as those in the 1st year of 2 year ITI course are eligible to apply. In case of graduates, the average percentage of marks of all the academic years shall be treated as marks obtained by the candidate. Similarly in case of 10th/12th, if percentage of marks obtained is not mentioned by Board/University, percentage of marks obtained shall be calculated on total aggregate marks.

Minimum eligibility percentage of marks for various categories will be as indicated above. Gross Joint income of the family of the candidate from all sources (during financial year 2008-2009) should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). Income certificate should be issued by Competent Revenue Authorities only. The marks obtained in the qualifying examination making the students eligible to seek admission in the respective first year of these courses will be considered for selection.

Normalization of marks of applicant shall be done for Engg., MBBS & MBA streams to bring parity of marking system within different Boards/ Universities/Institutions. Criterion for selection will be merit and family’s income. Wards of the employees of IOCL, its Joint Venture and Subsidiary companies and ACE Consultants are not eligible to apply.

AGE LIMIT:

Minimum 15 years and maximum 30 years as on 1.9.2009. Persons born between 1.9.79 and 1.9.94 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

RESERVATION & RELAXATION:

Relaxation in the upper age limit is 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for physically challenged/physically handicapped candidates. 50% of the scholarships are reserved for SC/ST & OBC candidates. In each stream/ category, 25% of scholarships are reserved for girl students and 10% for physically challenged/physically handicapped students. Only those listed in the central govt’s OBC list will be considered against OBC quota. OBC candidates of state list and not covered by central govt’s OBC list may apply against general quota.

APPLICATION:

Candidates studying in 11th standard, 1st year of a 2 year ITI course, 1st year of Engineering degree, MBBS and MBA in the academic year 2009-2010 are to apply through Online Application Form by logging on to www.applicationnew.com/ioclscholar. Such candidates need not send application form by post.

In order to avoid Postal delay/loss in transit, Candidates are requested to fill the Online Application First. If for any reason candidate encounters any problem/difficulty in applying through Online System, the candidate should download the Application form containing unique Application Form No. printed on it. Candidates who are applying offline may use this application form number for all their future correspondence. Applications not in prescribed format (downloaded from the website) will be summarily rejected.

Once awarded the scholarships will be disbursed @ Rs. 2,000/- per month for 4 years in case of
Engineering & MBBS and 2 years for MBA courses; and @ Rs 1,000 per month for duration of 2 years in case of 10+ and ITI course. Duration of each course in no case be less than the duration of the scholarship. The scholarship will be suspended, if the scholar is not promoted to the next academic year.

In case, the scholar is not promoted for the second time (in succession for 2 years during the entire course), the scholar will be taken off from the list of IOCL scholars and scholarship will be discontinued permanently. The performance of the scholar must be satisfactory during the entire duration of the course. The performance is to be certified by the Head /Principal/Dean/Director of the School/College/Institute /University. The top one scholar each from final year of Engineering, Medicine & Management (who top their respective university exam) and top 10 scholars amongst final year of ITI & 12th (who are able to achieve position amongst top ten in their respective Board) will be awarded bonus prize of Rs 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each and invited to the annual day function of IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management, Gurgaon, to receive the prize. The travel, board & lodge expenses will be borne by IiPM/IOCL. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend from any other source. If awarded any other scholarship/stipend, the student can exercise his/her option for choosing the scholarship that he/she proposes to avail and inform awarding authority about the same. In case, the scholar opts for any other scholarship, he/she will have to refund the scholarship amount for the duration during which he/she is in receipt of the IOCL scholarship. There will be no obligation on part of IOCL to provide employment/vocational/summer training to any of the scholars, at any time/stage. IOCL reserves the right to reject any application as well as discontinue the scholarship at any time without giving any notice/ assigning any reason.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Applications received later than 30th September 2009, will not be accepted. No correspondence on this subject will be entertained. IOCL shall not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit. No request in this regard will be entertained. Incomplete application form will be rejected. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Delhi. The short listed candidates will be
requested separately, by post, to forward their Caste/Date of Birth/Mark Sheet/family’s Income Certificate etc., duly authenticated by appropriate competent authority/civil authority for verification of documents and drawing up final merit list. However, in case the marks, income or any other information; declared at the time of initial application; is found incorrect during scrutiny; the candidature of such candidates shall be summarily rejected. Decision of IndianOil regarding Scholar’s selection shall be final and no correspondence on the selection process shall be entertained.

LAST DATE:

Completed application form in respect of candidates, who are unable to submit the application online, on prescribed Application Format (downloaded from website), without any mark sheet/certificate/document should be forwarded so as to reach by 30th September 2009 by ordinary post, to the administrator of the scheme: ACE Consultants, Post Box No. 9248, Krishna Nagar Head Post Office, Delhi-110051.

Before applying make sure that you follow these instructions.
  • Valid e-mail id with validity for overall Scholarship scheme period ( 2 years for 10+/ITI, MBA and 4 years for Engineering/ MBBS ).
  • Percentage of marks scored in the qualifying examination.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates to keep their caste/disability certificate ready for filling in the relevant details.
  • Contact No./ Email ID/ Website of current Academic Institute as well as Qualifying Academic Institute.
  • Before applying you are requested to go through the Advertisement in detail so that you should have a clear idea about Zone/Area from where you are applying and Stream for which you are interested.
  • Family's total Joint gross annual income details (from all sources) during 01.04.2008-31.03.2009
  • Once you submit your Application, the System will generate a Registration Slip with unique Registration No. Take a printout of your Registration Slip and keep it for future correspondence. In case you are selected for award of the Scholarship ,You have to Send this original Application Form along with the requisite documents.

SCHEME OF ‘LIC GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP’ FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER FAMILIES FOR PURSUING HIGHER STUDIES.

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation was established on 20.10.2006, and registered with Charity Commissioner under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 with the objective of promoting education, health, relief of poverty or distress and advancement of other objects of general public utility.

To achieve these objectives, the foundation works with human and capital resources received from LIC.

Projects range from scholarships, health initiatives, rural education programmes and providing infrastructural support in fields of education and health.

1. OBJECTIVE

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of society so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.

2. SCOPE

The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private
college/university,. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes at Graduation level.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Students who have passed Class XII exam or its equivalent in Year 2009 and are interested to pursue higher education in the field of
a) Engineering
b) Medicine
c) Arts/Science/Commerce
d) Diploma Cources in any field and
e) Any Vocational course which leads to immediate employment and where minimum education qualification stipulated is plus 2

Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade in the Class 12 or its equivalent final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs60,000/ per annum.

4. DURATION

Scholarship shall be provided for the entire course.

5. RATE OF SCHOLARSHIP

Rs.10,000/- per annum, Rs.1000/ payable monthly for ten months directly into the bank account of the Beneficiary.

6. CONDITIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP

(i) Scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 60% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.60,000/ per annum. Students having the lowest family income shall be given preference in the ascending order.

(ii) The scholarship shall be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% in B.A./B.COM. and 55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade, in the previous final examination of the course for which scholarship is awarded. Scholarship shall not be awarded for more than the normal period of time taken to obtain certificate/degree.

(iii) Scholarship shall not be given to more than one student in a family.

(iv) The students should be regular in attendance for which the yardstick shall be decided by the competent authority of the school/college/university.

(v) Income certificate should be on self-certification basis by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper for self-employed parents and from employer for employed parents supported by documents such as land held by revenue department in the name of parents.

(vi) If a student violates any other term and condition of the scholarship, the scholarship may be suspended or cancelled.

(vii) If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship shall be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned Divisional Administration of LIC.

(viii) LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation will lay down the detailed procedure for processing and sanctioning of scholarships to eligible students.

(ix) Scholarship shall be credited to the student’s bank account maintained at the place of study. Efforts shall be made for transferring it electronically through the banks.

(x) The scheme shall be evaluated at regular intervals by the LICGJF.

(xi) The regulations can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Board of Trustees of LICGJF

7. RENEWAL OF SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship, once awarded, may be renewed during the next academic year of the course on the production of certificate that the student has secured 50% in B.A./B.COM. and 55% marks in other streams or equivalent grade in the examination.

CBSE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi invites applications from eligible students for award of the following scholarship Schemes on the basis of examinations conducted by the Board in the year 2009 :-

1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for +2 Studies
2. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIPMT)
3. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Professional Studies (AIEEE)
4. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Under Graduate Studies for Single Girl Children .

The scholarship amount varies as Rs.1000/- for graduation level (10 months per academic year)
Rs 2000/- for post graduate level (10 months per academic year).

The details, eligibility conditions of each scheme are given in Board's website www.cbse.nic.in which may be referred to. The scholars of all schemes who have been granted scholarships by the Board in respect of the above said schemes in the previous years may submit their applications for renewal before 30thSeptember 2009. Eligibility:

(i) The applicant should be an Indian national and
(ii) The applicant should have passed in All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2009 conducted by CBSE and secured a minimum of 80 % marks and
(iii) Pursuing regular course (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognized educational Institutions and
(iv) Students should not be availing any other scholarship scheme and
(v) Income of parents from all sources should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh per annum and
(vi) Should not belong to creamy layer as defined by DoP&T from time to time..

Post Metric Scholarship will be sanctioned to the Economically Backward Minority students whose parents/guardians annual income does not exceeds Rs 1 lakh per annum. Eligibility Criteria

1.Post Metric Scholarship & Fee reimbursement will be sanctioned to the Economically Backward Minority students

2.Whose parents / guardians annual income does not exceeds Rs 1 lakh.

3.If the distance between the residence of the student and institution is below 5 KM Scholarship will not be sanctioned.

4.If the distance is above 5 KM it will be treated as Student Managed Hostel and Scholarship will be sanctioned as per SMH rate.

5.Fee Reimbursement will be sanctioned to all the Students irrespective of distance whose parents income does not exceed Rs 1 lakh on par with social welfare department.

6. The Scholarship amount shall be disbursed to the students who put in 75% attendance in normal time
