Applications are invited for the TANCET 2009 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 30th & 31stMay 2009, from candidates who seek admission to 1. M.B.A., 2. M.C.A., and 3. M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2009-2010 offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University Tirunelveli, Govt. Engineering, Arts and Science Colleges, Govt. Aided Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges, and Govt. Quota seats in self-financing Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges / standalone Institutions. Some Universities and Self–Financing Engineering Colleges may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis ofTANCET.Other State candidates can appear for the entrance tests but, admission is subject to the eligibility conditions of the admitting authority / University.

Application Form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application. PTI today quoted that about 4 lakh officers of central public sector enterprises will benefit from a government decision today giving them a further increase in salary and allowances, over and above the hikes announced last year.

So there will be surely increase/hike in their salaries as the decision to improve the salary structure of officers at board level and below, along with supervisory staff, was taken at the Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Benefits of the improved pay packages will also include increase in house rent allowance and retirement benefits.

The decisions are based on the recommendations of the committee of ministers headed by Home Minister P Chidambaram, which went into the revised salary and allowances notified earlier in November last year by the government.

PSU officers, particularly in the oil sector, forced the government to revisit their revised pay scales when they went on strike in January this year.

Briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Chidambaram said the revision in the pay structure would vary from company to company.

1. Please go through the Detailed Notification at our website: www.csirhrdg.res.in . The candidate must satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for this test before applying for this test.

2. Download the Challan Proforma and deposit the requisite examination fee in any of the Indian Bank branches spread all over India.

3. Before applying On-Line, keep the following information ready with yourself like; Subject name, Exam Centre, Date of Birth, Marks obtained (in M.Sc./Equivalent Exam), Challan details(Bank name, Branch/city name, Branch code, Journal No. challan date etc.).

4. Apply Online using the "Apply-Online button" given at the bottom.

5. After successfully submitting the application online, candidates will be assigned system generated Application Number. The candidates are required to take print out of the Application Form (on A4 size paper), paste his/her recent black & white photograph, put his/her signature at the required places, attach requisite certificates and send alongwith CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan in his/her own envelop(5”X11”) to Sr. Controller of Examinations, Examination Unit, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 on or before 13.04.2009 (20.04.2009 for remote areas). Failing to comply with this procedure may lead to summarily rejection of application/candidature.

6. The eligible candidates, in their own interest, are advised to keep photocopy of both sides of the completed Application Form (hard copy), Certificate of Postage, Challan copy ( as a proof of fee deposit) and three identical copies of the passport size photographs which has been affixed on the Application Form.

PLEASE NOTE:

(i) Candidates should note that their candidature is strictly provisional till their joining. No candidate will be admitted to the Test unless he/she holds the admission Certificate to the Test. The mere fact that Online application has been submitted/Admission Certificate has been issued to a candidate will not imply that the Council has finally accepted his/her candidature.

(ii) Only online application followed by hard copy (along with requisite enclosures) will be considered, as per terms and conditions including eligibility criteria, as notified in the Notification.

(iii) Mode of payment of fee is Bank challan from Indian Bank only. Fee submitted through any other mode viz.IPO,/demand draft/money order/ CRF stamp etc will not be accepted. Fee once paid will neither be adjusted for any subsequent examination nor refunded under any circumstances.

(iv) Incomplete application / application submitted in any other format or application (hard copy) received after the last date will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Hence, the candidates are advised in their own interest to apply early enough to ensure timely receipt of their applications by the Examination Unit on or before the closing date.

(v) Multiple Online application may be summarily rejected.

(vi) No correspondence will be entertained for any matter for which last date has been expired.

Query for receipt of AIEEE 2009 Application Form

You can get the information/status of AIEEE 2009 admit card here

For that you have to type in your Registraion No. / Application No in the box provided.

The Admit Card will be sent by post "Under Certificate of Posting (UPC)" to the candidates (including those who made application online) about four weeks before the conduct of the examination, however, the Board will not be responsible for any consequences that may arise due to loss of admit card in transit. It will be the responsiblity of the candidate to contact/write to the Board in case he/she is not in receipt of the Admit Cards by 6th April 2009. Such requests be sent to Assistant Secretary (AIEEE), Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2 Institutional Area, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110 092 with 2 photographs (as pasted on the Application Form), one should be attested by Principal of the institution where candidate is studying/passed XII or by the gazetted officer. Photocopy of the Application Form, proof regarding remittance of fee (photocopy of the Demand Draft/Challan) in respect of those candidates who have made application online, and the original postal receipt issued by the Post Office for having dispatched the Application Form by Registered/Speed Post in order to get a duplicate Admit Card. Such request for issue of duplicate admit card should accompany with a Demand Draft in favour of Secretary,CBSE payable at Delhi/New Delhi amounting Rs.50/- as fee and additional Rs.30/- as postal charges for outstation candidates.Request for the issue of admit card after the examination will not be entertained.In no case the duplicate Admit Card would be issued at the Examination Centres.
